Does concrete block construction change how a house dries out?
Substantially. Block holds water within the material itself, so a wall can read dry at the painted surface while the block behind is still saturated. Drying is slower and has to be verified by meter into the substrate rather than judged by touch, which is why block walls are often released too early.
Why does opening the windows not help after a leak here?
