Mold Removal & Remediation in White Plains, AL

Containment, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial treatment eliminate mold colonies at the source and prevent cross-contamination throughout the property. Mold remediation removes affected porous materials and corrects the moisture source that allowed growth. The work is done under containment with HEPA filtration so spores are not carried into unaffected rooms, and the area is cleared only once the underlying moisture problem has been resolved.

No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope

Remediation is the step after the assessment, not before it. A local pro establishes how far the growth extends and what is feeding it, because removing what is visible while the moisture source is still running puts the same colony back in the same wall. Texas and several other states also set a square-footage point above which the work has to be done by a licensed remediator — the service note below covers where that line falls in this city.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An assessor determines whether mold is present, identifies where it is growing, and measures how far it has spread — before any remediation quote is issued.

  • Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup

Category 3 black-water losses are handled with full PPE, biohazard disposal, and professional disinfection to restore safe conditions.

Frequently asked questions

The house is only twenty years old. Why is the slab edge damp?

Age is not the protection people expect on this ground. A slab poured on graded red clay sits on material that swells when it takes water and stops accepting more, so March rain runs along the top of the clay to the nearest edge, which is the foundation. New construction is if anything more exposed, because the backfill against the wall is disturbed clay that settles and channels water down to the footing.

Rain here peaks in March, not summer. Does that change anything?

It changes the drying window. A summer storm falls on warm ground with months of heat behind it. Winter frontal rain falls on cold clay in a season with short days and low evaporation, so the ground stays loaded between fronts rather than shedding between them. That is why a wall can be wet in March and dry by June without anything being repaired.

Is a crawl space or a slab worse on this hillside?

They fail differently. A crawl on a bench cut takes water at the uphill wall and holds humid air under the floor because the shaded side never gets sun. A slab takes it at the perimeter and wicks up through the pad. What decides it is grade: whichever one sits below the surrounding dirt with nowhere to drain is the one that stays wet.
