Mold Removal & Remediation in Woodstock, AL

Containment, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial treatment eliminate mold colonies at the source and prevent cross-contamination throughout the property. Mold remediation removes affected porous materials and corrects the moisture source that allowed growth. The work is done under containment with HEPA filtration so spores are not carried into unaffected rooms, and the area is cleared only once the underlying moisture problem has been resolved.

Independent local crews ยท scoped at the property

Remediation is the step after the assessment, not before it. A local pro establishes how far the growth extends and what is feeding it, because removing what is visible while the moisture source is still running puts the same colony back in the same wall. Texas and several other states also set a square-footage point above which the work has to be done by a licensed remediator โ€” the service note below covers where that line falls in this city.

Frequently asked questions

The Cahaba receded a week ago. Why is the crawl space still a pond?

The river falling is only half the story. Bottom clay along this stretch takes water in and does not give it back quickly, so a crawl space that filled while the Cahaba was up stays wet long after the banks look dry. February fronts also keep arriving, topping up what has not left. Waiting for the river gauge to drop does not dry the ground under the house; only a stretch of sun and a working vent path does that.

We bought a 1990s house above the old camp streets. Is the ground any drier up there?

Drier than the bottoms, not dry. The 1990s lots were cut into the same clay, just a few feet higher, and a February month of nearly six inches still saturates the grade around a low crawl. What you gain is that the river itself is less likely to stand in the yard. What you do not gain is a soil that drains. Keep the grade falling away from the wall and the vents clear; the clay will still be wet in March.

The soil along one side of the house stays orange and damp. Is that just clay stain?

It can be seepage from old workings. This town sits on a coal field, and abandoned entries still move water through the ground after a wet winter. Orange staining and a strip of soil that never dries, especially on a slope, is often that seepage reaching the surface rather than roof water. Trace it uphill before you treat the wall; if the source is in the ground, flashing the roof will not stop it.
