Mold Removal & Remediation in Catalina Foothills, AZ
Containment, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial treatment eliminate mold colonies at the source and prevent cross-contamination throughout the property. Mold remediation removes affected porous materials and corrects the moisture source that allowed growth. The work is done under containment with HEPA filtration so spores are not carried into unaffected rooms, and the area is cleared only once the underlying moisture problem has been resolved.
Quoted on site by the contractor who visits
Remediation is the step after the assessment, not before it. A local pro establishes how far the growth extends and what is feeding it, because removing what is visible while the moisture source is still running puts the same colony back in the same wall. Texas and several other states also set a square-footage point above which the work has to be done by a licensed remediator — the service note below covers where that line falls in this city.

Frequently asked questions
The lot falls away from the house. How does monsoon water still reach the wall?
Because the house was cut into the slope, not set on top of it. The uphill side of a bajada pad is a low wall against granite that sheds water, and a July cell runs along that cut before it ever reaches the downhill yard. Gutters that dump on the uphill side feed that cut. The dry-looking lower lawn is not the path the storm actually takes.
We irrigate the desert landscaping. Is that more water than the monsoon?
On the downhill wall, usually yes. Heads that mist stucco every morning from spring through fall put more water on that strip than July's 2.30 inches spread across a month. The monsoon is a few hard hours; the irrigation is daily. Moving the heads off the wall is the cheapest change on a lot that barely rains.
The stucco looks fine. Why open the bottom of an uphill wall?
Because the covering can hide a wet plate. On these hillside jobs the stucco often runs down over the weep, so water that gets behind it from the cut has no exit and sits against the framing. The surface stays pretty. The plate does not. The repair is at the base of the uphill wall, not on the face you can see from the drive.
