Sewage & Black Water Cleanup in Lutz, FL

Category 3 black-water losses are handled with full PPE, biohazard disposal, and professional disinfection to restore safe conditions. Sewage backups are Category 3 losses: the water carries pathogens, so affected porous materials are removed rather than dried. The area is cleaned, disinfected, and dried under containment, with cut lines set above the visible contamination mark.

Frequently asked questions

The yard drains fine most of the year. Why not in August?

Because drainage here depends on there being room below. Sand moves water quickly downward until it reaches the limestone table, and through most of the year that table is deep enough to keep taking it. After weeks of storms the table has risen close to the surface, and the same sand that drained a storm in June has nowhere to send one in August. The soil did not change; the space under it filled.

We are not on a lake. Does the lake level still matter?

Indirectly, because the lakes and the ground water are the same system. What you see as a lake rising is the shallow table rising, and that table extends well back from any shoreline. A lot several streets from open water can sit on ground that is just as full, which shows up as a damp slab edge and rising indoor humidity rather than as visible standing water.

Almost eleven inches in one month. Is a wet slab inevitable?

No, but the margin is thinner here than the totals suggest. What decides it is whether the slab sits high enough above wet-season grade and whether water leaving the roof is carried away from the pad rather than released at it. Those two things are the difference between a lot that handles a ten-inch month and one that takes water at the perimeter every year.
