Those cities sit on other reaches and on older plats. This west-central grid is C-13 and the Sawgrass canals on former conservation land. Same September inches, different canal. A 1983 slab here is a lid on that grid, and the gauge cannot see which canal is against the stem.

Peat is in the ground here too, but the outlet is C-13 and Sawgrass, not C-9. Pines' west lots fail as Glades water at the county line. These lots fail as a Broward canal grid that was platted later onto conservation land. Copying a C-9 diagnosis north will put the pump on the wrong canal.
