Mold Removal & Remediation in Fall River, MA
Containment, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial treatment remove mold colonies at the source and stop cross-contamination through the rest of the home. Mold remediation removes affected porous materials and corrects the moisture source that allowed growth. The work is done under containment with HEPA filtration so spores are not carried into unaffected rooms, and the area is cleared only once the underlying moisture problem has been resolved.
Remediation is the step after the assessment, not before it. A local pro establishes how far the growth extends and what is feeding it, because removing what is visible while the moisture source is still running puts the same colony back in the same wall. Texas and several other states also set a square-footage point above which the work has to be done by a licensed remediator — the service note below covers where that line falls in this city.
Every pro in our network is licensed and insured in Massachusetts.
Frequently asked questions
The mill pond is gone. Why would the cellar still take the river?
Because filling a raceway does not erase it. The Quequechan was raised into canals through the granite; when the canals were covered, the water they carried stayed in the voids. A cellar on that terrace can wet from below on a dry week, because the path is the industrial hydrology the mills were built on.
The house is up the granite, not on the bay. Is tide still in play?
Not for that lot. Granite sheds; the bay holds. A mid-slope triple-decker takes what the ledge above it passes down, which is an October runoff problem. Tide matters on the Taunton waterfront, where groundwater moves with Mount Hope Bay. Elevation settles which of those two jobs you have.
October is 5.07 inches on a coastal mill staircase. Why does January still find that water?
Because the Quequechan terrace does not dry before freeze-up. October's last heavy cell sits in granite-cut joints and filled canals; frost then works those openings, and the spring thaw tests a cellar that was already wet in November. A bigger July storm would have left. This one does not.
