Mold Removal & Remediation in Parole, MD

Containment, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial treatment eliminate mold colonies at the source and prevent cross-contamination throughout the property. Mold remediation removes affected porous materials and corrects the moisture source that allowed growth. The work is done under containment with HEPA filtration so spores are not carried into unaffected rooms, and the area is cleared only once the underlying moisture problem has been resolved.

No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope

Remediation is the step after the assessment, not before it. A local pro establishes how far the growth extends and what is feeding it, because removing what is visible while the moisture source is still running puts the same colony back in the same wall. Texas and several other states also set a square-footage point above which the work has to be done by a licensed remediator — the service note below covers where that line falls in this city.

Frequently asked questions

Two townhouse rows in the same development, one damp and one dry. What is different?

Most likely the ground a few feet down. The sand across this suburb looks the same on the surface, but it sits on lenses of clay that come and go from lot to lot. A slow September rain soaks through the sand and stops on the clay, so a row built over a lens has water held under its slabs while a row over deeper sand lets it through. The builder was the same; the ground was not.

We are the end unit and get all the water. Is that just bad luck?

It is the geometry of a row. Townhouses share one continuous grade along the front and back, and the whole row drains to whichever end sits lowest. Where an end unit has settled slightly, or the grade was built to fall that way, it receives the roof and yard water of every house in the row. The fix runs the length of the row, usually a swale or drain at the low end, not something at one house.

Does living between two tidal rivers change the ground water?

On the low ends of the neck, yes. The rivers are tidal, so the water table near them rises and falls with the tide and never drops far, and a basement on that ground is damp from below whether or not it has rained. Higher up the neck the sand drains to a deeper table and the rivers do not matter. Which one applies depends on elevation more than on distance to the water.
