Testing & Assessment

Mold Inspection & Testing in Grove City, OH

An assessor determines whether mold is present, identifies where it is growing, and measures how far it has spread — before any remediation quote is issued. A mold inspection locates moisture and growth that a room-level look would miss, reading wall cavities, subfloor, and the areas behind finished surfaces. The result is a scope: what is affected, what has to come out, and what is driving the moisture.

Independent local assessors · no obligation to proceed

Most people reach this page after noticing something rather than after something broke: a smell that returns, a stain that spreads, a room that feels damp. An inspection answers what is actually there and where the moisture comes from, which is the information every later decision depends on. Several states, Texas among them, keep assessment and remediation as separate licensed roles specifically so the party identifying the problem is not the party selling the fix. Nothing here is medical advice — if you have health questions, those are for a clinician.

Frequently asked questions

The house is from the mid-1990s. How is farm tile still in the story?

Because pulling every line in a field was rarely part of the plat. Those tiles still run on their old grades, and a 1995 basement wall is often sitting on an outlet that used to be a fencerow ditch. June finds that straight wet stripe in a lawn that looks new. A camera in the yard line tells you more than a new coat of interior paint.

We are west of the Scioto, not on it. Does the river still set our June?

Not as a flood. The river is another watershed from most of these lots. What June does here is fill till that already holds spring moisture, then run the leftover farm drains. Blaming the Scioto misses a tile you can actually find. If the wet line is straight and follows the old field, treat it as agriculture.

The sump dumps into a pipe in the yard. Could that be the farm line?

It often is, or it ties into it. That means the pump is feeding the same drain that wets the wall. June then never ends at the house. A dedicated discharge to a storm inlet or a lower legal point, separate from the field tile, is what lets the backfill drop. Using the farmer's pipe as the sump outlet is recycling the month.
