Testing & Assessment

Mold Inspection & Testing in Pataskala, OH

An assessor determines whether mold is present, identifies where it is growing, and measures how far it has spread — before any remediation quote is issued. A mold inspection locates moisture and growth that a room-level look would miss, reading wall cavities, subfloor, and the areas behind finished surfaces. The result is a scope: what is affected, what has to come out, and what is driving the moisture.

Independent local crews · scoped at the property

Most people reach this page after noticing something rather than after something broke: a smell that returns, a stain that spreads, a room that feels damp. An inspection answers what is actually there and where the moisture comes from, which is the information every later decision depends on. Several states, Texas among them, keep assessment and remediation as separate licensed roles specifically so the party identifying the problem is not the party selling the fix. Nothing here is medical advice — if you have health questions, those are for a clinician.

Frequently asked questions

June looks stormy too. Why is July the month that wets the wall?

June on this plain is often the bake. Till dries and splits, and the first real July cell uses those splits as pipes to the footing. A June rain on still-soft ground soaks more evenly. The gauge's 5.61 inches in July is a pulse into a cracked profile, which is why the wall can go wet in an hour after a dry-looking June. The calendar month is the crack month.

Could leftover farm tile still run under a 1998 plat?

It does, wherever the developer did not pull it. July finds the straight wet line in a lawn that has no creek. If the sump also dumps into that line, the pump is feeding the wall. Separate those two systems and the month gets a chance to leave. A new house on old agriculture inherits the drains it did not ask for.

The swale in the back is almost gone. Does that matter in July?

It was the only planned path for a 5.61 inch month on compacted till. Once it fills with silt and lawn, July sheets to the garage and the uphill wall. Re-cutting that swale, even shallow, is a lot-level fix that matches how the plat was supposed to work. Interior waterproofing will not replace a swale the rain was counted on to use.
