Testing & Assessment
Mold Inspection & Testing in Corvallis, OR
An assessment establishes whether mold is present, where it is growing, and how far it extends — before anyone quotes removal. A mold inspection locates moisture and growth that a room-level look would miss, reading wall cavities, subfloor, and the areas behind finished surfaces. The result is a scope: what is affected, what has to come out, and what is driving the moisture.
Most people reach this page after noticing something rather than after something broke: a smell that returns, a stain that spreads, a room that feels damp. An inspection answers what is actually there and where the moisture comes from, which is the information every later decision depends on. Several states, Texas among them, keep assessment and remediation as separate licensed roles specifically so the party identifying the problem is not the party selling the fix. Nothing here is medical advice — if you have health questions, those are for a clinician.

Frequently asked questions
Marys Peak is west of town. Why does that make December wetter here than down-valley?
The peak is the first wall those fronts hit. It wrings them, and Corvallis sits in that extra rain. Springfield's December is 7.27 on the McKenzie; this gauge is 7.82. Same valley, different orographic seat. The extra half inch is a month of crawls that cannot dry.
Eugene already told the Willamette silt story. What is local here?
The Marys. Eugene is Willamette silt and a long wet season. Corvallis adds a Coast Range tributary that jumps on a different catchment, and an orographic bump Eugene does not get. Sharing a valley is not sharing a confluence. The Marys is the local river even when the Willamette is the famous one.
Is a campus crawl on the terrace clear of the confluence?
Clear of overbank flow. Not clear of the winter table or of December's 7.82 inches. The terrace is still valley silt in a five-month wet season. You have left the flood and kept the climate. Vented crawls still take that season as indoor weather.
