Mold Removal & Remediation in Blue Bell, PA

Containment, HEPA filtration, and antimicrobial treatment eliminate mold colonies at the source and prevent cross-contamination throughout the property. Mold remediation removes affected porous materials and corrects the moisture source that allowed growth. The work is done under containment with HEPA filtration so spores are not carried into unaffected rooms, and the area is cleared only once the underlying moisture problem has been resolved.

Quoted on site by the contractor who visits

Remediation is the step after the assessment, not before it. A local pro establishes how far the growth extends and what is feeding it, because removing what is visible while the moisture source is still running puts the same colony back in the same wall. Texas and several other states also set a square-footage point above which the work has to be done by a licensed remediator — the service note below covers where that line falls in this city.

Frequently asked questions

We hit rock when we planted a tree. Is that why July wets the basement?

Yes. Schist a few feet down is a roof for the rain. July cannot soak past it, so the water runs along the rock until a 1983 basement interrupts the plane. That is a sheet on stone, not a deep groundwater problem. If the wet wall matches the uphill rock dip, you are looking at the schist, not at a mystery spring.

The tile is on the rock. Should it still work in a 4.7 inch July?

It works while the outlet is open. Tile on bedrock is a trough; if the outfall silts, the trough fills and July uses it as a hose toward the wall. Clearing that outlet is the first camera job. Replacing tile that is still round but drowning at the far end will not help. The rock made the path; the clog made it a basement path.

Would more soil on the lot help, or is the schist going to win anyway?

A few extra inches of soil and a fall away from the house still slow a July cell before it hits the rock. You will not hide the schist. You can stop roof water and yard water from arriving at the cut in the same hour. Gutters that discharge off the uphill rock face are the cheap half of that. The rock will always perch; it does not have to perch right against the coating.
