The lake never floods the street. Why is the crawlspace damp?
Flood is not the table. The lake holds groundwater under the first few blocks whether or not the street is dry, so a crawl can smell damp in a week of sun. The level, not the shoreline, is what reaches the house.
The crawlspace never dries out. Are the vents not working?
The vents work; the season defeats them. From November through March there is no dry interval long enough for a vented crawl to recover, so it simply stays damp. Adding airflow to air that is already saturated changes nothing, and on the lake side the table under the crawl never drops.
