What is clinker doing under a house?
It is burned coal, and it behaves like a French drain that nobody designed. Water enters the clinker upslope and can travel a long way before it exits at a cut or a footing. A dry surface and a wet crawlspace are the usual signature.
The 1990s house next door does not move and ours does. Same street?
