They are separate problems entirely. Down on the bay margin the ground is soft, settles unevenly and sits close to the water, so the work is interior drainage and a pump. Up on the hills water travels along rock and arrives sideways at a wall, and the work is interception above the building. Advice for one is close to useless for the other.
