For the groundwater, yes, sized for continuous running and on backup power. For a basin that has filled, no residential pump addresses that volume, and expecting one to leads to burned-out pumps and false confidence. The two mechanisms are different, and establishing which one you are experiencing determines whether the pump is the answer or a distraction.
