Anyone near either the old or the new course is worth checking the current version for.
The water comes off the hill rather than from the channel.
With sandstone hills close on either side, a good deal of what reaches a property here started higher up and arrived across the surface. That is a different problem from the river and it needs different work: interception above the building, roof water carried clear, and the ground beside the wall falling away.
